This package contains software for XV-5080/3080/88, XV-5050/2020 and Fantom.
The "Install" folder contains the setup program for XV Editor; programs for editing the parameters for the XV-5080/3080/88 and XV-5050/2020 on your computer, and for XV Librarian; a program for batch management for the XV-5080/3080/88, XV-5050/2020 and Fantom on your computer. To install these software programs, double-click Setup.exe.
For detailed information about each of these programs, start the program, then go to the "Help" menu and click either "XV Editor Manual" or "XV Librarian Manual."
* The use of XV Editor with the Fantom is not supported.
* There is no separate, specialized version of XV Editor for the XV-3080 or the XV-88. The version of XV Editor for the XV-5080 can be used with either instrument. For information on usage limitations, please read "6. Limitations When Using the XV-88" and "7. Differences Between XV Editor and Sound Module Parameters" in the "XV Editor Manual."
* A separate MIDI interface is required in order to connect the XV-5080/3080 with the computer. Using MIDI cables, connect both the MIDI IN and MIDI OUT connectors on the MIDI interface connected to your computer to the MIDI connectors on the XV-5080/3080.
* If you use the XV-88, there are two methods; connecting with a MIDI interface and connecting with the COMPUTER connector on the rear panel of the XV-88. For details, refer to "Enjoy Desktop Music" (p. 208) in the XV-88 Owner's Manual.
* If a previous version of XV Editor is installed in your PC, before installing the XV Editor in this CD-ROM, make sure to uninstall the older one using "Add/Remove Programs" in "Control Panel."
* If you're using the XV-5050/2020, then before you start XV Editor or XV Librarian, make sure that the XV-5050/2020 and the computer are connected using a USB cable, and switch on the XV-5050/2020. After that, you can run XV Editor/XV Librarian.
